Reflecting on the previous defeat, Erasmus admitted that the Springboks “did not play according to their standards” in the second half against Australia. Despite leading 22-0 early in the match, South Africa conceded six tries and ultimately lost momentum. “We are still hurting from that result,” Erasmus said. “This week is about fixing what went wrong and living up to the Springbok standard.”
