Smile because Spring is here everyone…

Recess is over and we welcome longer sunnier days with slightly warmer temperatures with open arms. Birds become considerably more vocal.

Dormant plants begin to grow again, delicate blossoms sprout, slumbering animals awake from a winter induced hibernation and some even slip off old skin.

Ditto applies us humans. Spring is the traditional time to clean your body, mind and physical space. Replace old negative habits with fresh brand-new owns – So I say start that diet, attempt the project or enroll in the course.

What better time to push restart by shedding the old and create a fresh space for the shiny and new! Spring symbolizes new beginnings.

It’s a good time to empty your cupboards, garage and storage units from clutter; recycle, up-cycle; donate what you no longer use to a charity.

‘They say’, One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Out with old and in with the new! Studies show that – Playing sports in old worn out uniforms may be hindering performance.

Wearing a fresh uniform helps athletes feel a sense of comradery, strengthening their connection to the team. Uniforms signify being part of a group. Many people ascribe to the philosophy of dressing for the job you want, not the jobs you have.

The same concept can be applied to sports. When an athletes’ dress for success, chances are that they will believe in the outcome and react accordingly.

As the old saying goes, sports are about 80 % mental and 20% physical. A uniform can impact performance in several ways.

There is nothing quite like walking out onto the course, court, or field wearing the same uniform as your teammates.
